if you could move to anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

well for the longest time i mostly just imagined that maybe one day i might move to the south island. slightly cooler climate but everything else much the same

then in late high school and "uni", i really liked the idea of moving to a scandinavian country like sweden or something, though it was never a plan really

and now, idk. the uk certainly has some appealing factors, though some not-so-appealing factors too...

favorite animal and moth???

not sure if i have one, possibly a corvid (<i>cries in kiwi</i>), or maybe cats if i really had to choose. or maybe a native species

tangent: when i was like 5, after a trip to the zoo im guessing, i wrote about how rhinoceroses where my favourite animal, and that they are ugly xD
for a while, i think because of lion king, hyenas were my favourite animal
oh and from a cd-rom we had when i was a kid, i learnt about blue ringed octopuses and thought they were really rather cool, and komodo dragons too
woah, just remember about an encyclopedia i had when i was little, used to love reading the animal pages

as for moths, the only one i know the "name" of isn't even a moth, the cabbage moth (a white butterfly). the small moths that i see around commonly near/in households im not too fond of, but some of the larger and fluffier ones are kinda cool. though with both moths and butterflies i kinda dont really like being in an enclosed area with them. like im not scared, but there's something that kinda bothers me with the way they sometimes flutter around one's face, i think it's the constant expectation of a potential impact, just bracing myself for an extended period of time i suppose

how did you manage to get such an adorable calico cat :0

vague mention of animal neglect/potential abuse, suspected unfortunate fate for young animals

a long and unfortunate story and i probably dont remember much of the details now

so my sibling was leaving their work one day, overheard some people talking in the carpark about what they're gonna do with this cat, sib pipes up that they could take her in. it turns out these people had rescued the cat from a neglectful (possibly even abusive) neighbour

so sib gets the cat home, puts her in an animal enclosure sort of thing and food and water n stuff. sometime later that same day the cat ends up giving birth to a singular kitten (which indicates she possibly had given birth to others elsewhere :c ). eventually mum gets home and despite everything the cat is so affectionate and sweet, so mum dubs her "honey", and the kitten considering her colouration, "ash"

unfortunately they already had <i>many</i> pets/animals at the house, so was very unlikely to be able to keep them, especially as dad had been kinda getting a bit frustrated with how many animals my mum had been acquiring

meanwhile, i'd moved out like 6 months prior and was really missing ajani (my mum's cat who was my little buddy), and it was the first time in my life living in a place without any pets. fortunately my flatmate and landlord were alright with the idea of it, so honey moved in and it's been over 2 years now

(ash is actually still living with them, it's funny seeing how ajani's become a bit of a grouch now)

food ? (drink)

do you like tea and if so whats your favourite type/brew/flavour

food ? (drink)

i love tea!
i need to explore more, but classic black tea with "milk" is my daily go to. jasmine green tea is a favourite that i have infrequently, and earl grey is quite nice too :3

oh i also used to quite enjoy pearl milk tea, not actually checked if they offer a vegan option for that, i suspect not though :neocat_thinking:
